“This blog is to point and unbelievable how true the facts are . After reading the blog I could not believe that I didn’t this before and let my son suffer thru this corruption. There is no humanity, caring and empathy at this place which are the main foundation of being a doctor, truly pathetic. They dismiss student like we swat flies at home, without a second chance , or even reading the appeal. Once they make the decision the appeal process is only a show and they dont even read it or consider the facts. they believe in breaking the hearts and ruining young people. ABSOLUTE shameless university whos main purpose is stealing and ruining lives. DON’T go HERE. BEWARE OF THIS UNIVERSITY PLEASE!!!!!”

  1. It is much worse than people realize. The title 4 loans keep increasing every semester with no oversight. The majority share holder to the school (Baring private equity) pumped 750million into the school a few years ago in order to “expanding student resources, supporting our research and undergraduate programs, adding international capabilities, and enhancing our relationships with hospital and university partners.” The only truth to this is the “enhancing relationship with hospitals.” And by relationships they mean the cycle of money to have sgu students go into their residency programs. USA residency spots are funded by Medicare if I’m not mistaken, so again we see the tax payers subsidizing this cycle. The curriculum is designed to cap and limit the knowledge of the student to ensure they will score within the USMLE score range to match into family/internal medicine. I’ve had to teach myself everything in order to do well. The recent 2019 sgu average step 1 score decreased from the years prior. I am not surprised as this would benefit the bottom line. By the way the same company that is majority share holder of SGU bought prometric in 2018. Talk about conflict of interest.. the largest provider of family/internal medicine docs to the USA with no regulatory oversight also controls the testing centers that administers the exams that allow students to match depending on those scores… This is beyond me..and have lost hope in the healthcare system; and from the quality of students I have seen at this school I fear for the future of America and predict medical errors to rise, malpractice litigation increasing, and the regression of healthcare as a whole.
